Maybe I was tired but let me know if these are plot holes.

-how would the male phrogger know the detective was the kidnapper? He didn’t have time to talk to the female phrogger to understand this and the location of the trailer. Unless I missed something

-I swear when Helen hunt leaves with her son and the detective says he’s going to go back in the house to find the person that did it, it immediately shows him going back into the house to search, leading up to the male phrogger approaching with the axe. There was never an established scene where the detective leaves the house and comes back, leading up to the axe scene was there?

Might need a rewatch on this one, but good movie. Love these sorts of storytelling concepts… kinda like 11:14 and Crash

SPOILERS the male phrogger was taken into the mystery house that disappears by the detective when he was a child. He has come back intentionally, without the girl knowing, to torment the family and especially the man.

The intentional play with timelines works PERFECTLY. Both halves of the movie are shown from the phrogger pov and the family pov. He went out to the woods with the girl BEFORE he comes home to the axe.

It's fantastic.
