the female detective is right nasty
I'm in S2 ..she depicts how corrupt cops are. And how they're not interested in truly catching the criminal who committed a crime but pinning a crime on anyone, to say they closed a case.

shareBy the end of the series she's happy to let the woman get away with murder though, so did she redeem herself? Probably in the eyes of the writers
shareIf that scene happened the way it showed us, though, then Laura would have a good case for self-defense (had she actually called the cops right then, and had they actually done a proper investigation). It certainly wasn't murder. Which, in a way, makes it all the more frustrating to me.
shareYea, up until the end I just wanted Laura to say to her 'You know. You're a c**t' and walk away. She ultimately does redeem herself but did she do that out of necessity - like no evidence for her theory - or goodness?
