Alexander Skarsgard's role

Stefan Lubert or Lewis Morgan?

imdb currently has Skarsgård listed as Lewis Morgan (although Lubert seems the more obvious casting choice)

Does anyone know if this is confirmed info or imdb assumption?

They have him listed as the Brit then?
He seems way better suited to be a German.

Alex will be playing Lubert in The Aftermath according to the book’s author

I've read the book and I think Alex would be a better fit in the Lewis part, even though he's a great actor who could do either character well. The author is nuts in his choices, I was sure Lubert was older than Lewis; but I guess I just assumed. So now smart Swede plays smart German, quite a stretch. In the story it makes more sense to me if Lewis is better looking than Lubert. The only bright side to the casting Alex as Lubert would be more opportunities for naked Alex.

I thought of another reason Alex should be playing Lewis. Alex is, in real life, about the age of Lewis who is 40ish. Rachael is also supposed to be 40ish (I expect in Hollywood female age calculations that makes Keira the right age at 31 to play 40ish). Jason, the actor playing Lewis is 47. That's an age difference of 16 years to Keira. In the book the "flashbacks" of Rachael and Lewis have them both be young when they meet and marry. So let's get this straight, because of casting Jason Clarke as Lewis in the movie, Lewis is going to be a LOT older than Rachael and yet we are supposed to believe that Rachael and Lewis are each others first love (or first serious love). I guess there will be some rewrites. In the book Stefan Lubert seemed older than Lewis Morgan. I guess not because the author would know.

I hope he will be playing Lubert. Looking forward to the emotional romantic role. Loved both the male characters in the book ---- both good guys.

He is playing Lubert according to the official announcement by the city of Hamburg. The film starts shooting at the beginning of 2017.

After just reading The Aftermath I disagree with those who assume that Lubert is an older character than Lewis. Given the fact that Lubert has a fifteen year old daughter and Lewis and Rachael have lost a son of the same age led me to imagine the characters as a similar age. The novel will make a stunning film set in a time period which has been rarely focused on. I think Alexander Skarsgard will be perfect as the brooding Lubert. Excellent cast choices all round.
