991k dislikes and only 281k likes (now 1.4m dislikes and 4xxk likes). That must mean systemic racism is real and we must go even more super 'woke' to combat it. We must take CRT to a whole 'nutha level. As Ibram X Kendi mentioned in his book, to combat racism you must do racism yourself.
“The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past
discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.”
The critics of critical race theory argue that a racist is one who treats people differently based on the color of their skin rather than the content of their character. CRT says the only way to exorcise America’s systemic racism is to make non-people of color to realize that they are racists because of their skin color, regardless of their character or heart.
I agree that racism is too prevalent and is a problem. I don't agree that we should go super woke or try to combat racism with racism. That is only going to make things worse.
I was being sarcastic with the whole issue at hand. Nowadays the term racist is thrown around to the point where it's starting to lose its true meaning just like the term 'woke' used to be 'to be aware' but has morphed into another entity altogether in some scenarios of the teaching world. Don't you remember the old days? Remember all those black movies and no one complained? I saw so many black movies back then with Eddie Murphy, Wesley Snipes, Martin Lawrence, Will Smith, James Earl Jones, Keith David, David Chappell, Queen Latifa, Morgan Freeman, etc. and I believe everyone enjoyed these movies most of the time. The term 'woke' and stuff wasn't even a thing back then. I am not sure when we didn't have enough representation or diversity because there was a decent amount back then. Maybe they're talking about big franchise movies?
In what way? Do explain. Black movies where the leading role or protagonist is black. I'm thinking in today's time when they speak of representation and diversity it means 50% of the cast should be black or latino/hispanic but the Asian community, specially the Chinese are still getting shafted. Oh and the inclusion of the disabled and LGBT+.
THE CONCEPT OF BLACK MOVIES IS A BIT LIKE BLACKS ONLY DRINKING FOUNTAINS...SEPERATE BUT EQUAL...WE ARE LOOKING FOR TOGETHER AND EQUAL...YOU ARE LISTING NUMBERS AND RACES...THATS THE PROBLEM...THE ACTORS ARE ALL PEOPLE...JUST PEOPLE...NOT DIVERSITY OR INCLUSIONS OR 8% OF THE POPULATION OR WHATEVER...PEOPLE.
Who are the 'we' in this? I am fine with together and equal but then you have corporations doing these so-called events where they do separate but equal, you see the conundrum here? As for numbers and races, numerous actors of said race would use such numbers in these complaints so it is hard to say actors are (for) all people and just people. Hollywood and the left specifically also use such terms as diversity and inclusion, etc. I'm sort of getting the notion you're trying to say ALL LIVES MATTER not just you know what, stats, etc. in a way... Maybe I am understanding you wrong...
WE(AS IN HUMANITY) NEED TO GET PAST COLOR,CREED,REPRESENTATION,PERCENTAGES,ETC ETC AS IT APPLIES TO OUR INTERACTION WITH ONE ANOTHER...JUST PEOPLE BEING PEOPLE...WITHOUT THE BAGGAGE.
I'm with you friend. Sadly in this day and age all we can see is race, color, etc. etc. instead of the human race err I mean hu(x) race it's tribal all over again.
