One of those rare movies with casual, non-judgmental cocaine use.

Especially when you consider the fact that it belongs to the most likeable character in the movie.

Most movies/shows either get on-the-nose preachy or go the misery porn route.

I agree with you. I am sure that I must seen the "casual, non-judgmental cocaine use" (or something of that nature) in some movies before, but I cannot think of any right off hand. So you are right. That first scene with Ingrid and Taylor in the pickup made me laugh my ass off. It was good for the movie.

Thinking of other movies, there was that scene in Observe And Report where Seth Rogen's date was scarfing up his Klonopins in the bar, and in the wrestler there was a scene where Mickey Rourke and the lady he was having sex with were doing coke, and I'd put both of those scenes in the "casual, non-judgmental [fill in blank] use" but you are right.

The current administration appears to be making cocaine use more socially acceptable...
