I watched the movie only knowing it's about a popstar and the school shooting left me dumbfounded. It came out of nowhere for me.
I'm sure it would be super triggering for mass shooting survivors :(
One of the best parts, probably the best part, is when she told the reporter that everyone should stop paying attention to mass shooters because that would make mass shooters cease to exist.
Many people in the real world really do say, "the media needs to ignore them, stop making them famous, that will show potential future shooters that they won't become famous, if they know the media will ignore them then they won't do it" really believing that the people who commit mass shootings are more motivated by the 15 minutes of mass media fame than by the many months or years of anger, rage, desperation, mental health issues, etc, that originally drove them to fantasize and plan and research and practice and ultimately cross the line.
The shooter mass murdered her class and she mass murdered the rest of the planet with crushing mindnumbing bullets of techno/electronic/dance/ pop machine music, she herself became a bullet, ricocheting off everything, causing all kinds of damage to her family, sister, daughter, herself, innocent bystanders, etc.
