The fanbase for this are kind of baffling

For the record I like the vibe off the show. Dark effed up anti-comedy in the vein of Tim and Eric and Jam. The end credit bits are brilliant. But Dear Lord looking at the Sub Reddit for this show they act like its brilliant dispatches that are saying the things "the media is afraid to say".
Nah bruv its basically absurdist comedy.

reply

It is absurdist comedy, but they are still trying to make statements... Whether or not you think those statements are very subversive, well, that's your opinion I guess.

reply

They are subversive enough that half of their content didn't get passed the censors, and lots of details within the show, like the transition slides and some of the on screen text have been blurred out. It's also subversive enough that a journalist (Joe Bernstein) tried to interview Sam for his political affiliations, got offended with the result and threatened to sue over it.

reply

Yeah, I'd say a lot of the views are pretty subversive for this current political climate... But w/e if OP doesn't. It's just not worth trying with some people, especially if they've already formed an established opinion.

reply

Yeahhhhhh, i thought the same thing. And also their fan base is really political, idk i just caught up with the show, im watching some youtube shticks and im really liking it some of their stuff, but this whole Alt-Right BS is really lame...

reply

Im glad you said it dog.
The MDE reddit is even by Hyde's admission an indecipherable mess
