Remake of a remake of a remake of a classic.
What's the point if there no attempt to make something good and different ?

shareI had no idea there were so many movies sharing the same, or similar titles. I did not, however bother to compare plots.
I first saw D.O.A. (1988) with Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan and liked it: 6/10
Then years later saw the original D.O.A. (1949) with Edmund O'Brien and loved that: 8/10.
Have seen no others. It really is a great original plot, and while I enjoyed it once in my teens with stars of the time, and then with a few more thousand films "under my belt" I fully appreciated it in its "original" noir form, I'm not sure I have much interest seeing the same plot no matter who has made, or is in it.
Touché.
I think all the others just have the same or similar title. I saw a TV show once with the same plot: I can't remember what was.
I mean, it truly is a clever plot, and by Hollywood's stopwatch "due" for a remake. I hope it's done well enough to entertain this generation, and will eventually lead them to the classic original.
