It’s a hotch-potch of bits from all different sci-fi. The scanning lasers from Aliens, the swarming baddies from Matrix 3, Contact, Independence Days (handy that, I suppose that’s allowed).

All mixed up in a bucket, like pig swill.

Its pretty much 2012 meets ID:R meets Oblivion, with the swarm from Star Trek Beyond/Man of Steel, the Vger interior from Star Trek TMP, and Donald Sutherland from Ad Astra

Yep. Pretty amazing really. And it's a film that knows the term "Roche Limit" but, apparently doesn't care... We may have a new champion for the most colossally dumb film ever made even counting the Independence Day sequel and The Core.
