can't believe how negative the comments are.

I have endured lots of poor Christie adaptions (ITV I am looking at you) but I thought this one and the one last Christmas were enjoyable.

The self appointed Christie purists are very critical but these productions are approved by the Christie estate, who must have an idea what they are talking about?

reply

I am not a Christie purist but I thought this was rubbish and the David Walliam's Tommy and Tuppence series was even worse.

It's that man again!!

reply

I guess if you´d pay them enough money they would let you remake any story just the way you like.

I wouldn't say it was terrible, it had some changes I quite enjoyed, but also quite a lot I did not like.

reply

I agree, it has its sparks as well as weakness.

reply

I can. That's why I rarely come here anymore. I miss the IMDb boards. Lots of folks there with indepth comments and discussions. Clearly they too have stopped coming here.

reply

Not necessarily. It may well be that they pony up a lot of money and the estaste presumes they'll do a good job, but it doesn't necessarily turn out that way. After a certain point they probably have little control of the final product.
