Conflicting

Yeah. The movie was good overall. But the theme was old and tired. How many times that we must have another James Bond parody? Austin Powers, Johnny English, Spy Kids, Kingsmen, and even the most recent one, My Spy. At least this movie put a little spin in it by being a dove. But the dynamic stays. It still played out the same as those Bond parodies. With the same boring villain to boot.

And then the cliched and also tired "moral of the story" that was just not fighting fire with fire but sacrificing your own life for the evil bad guy. I mean, it's good and all, just not very convincing and felt too wishful thinking-y. Exactly the same problem Small Foot movie had.

I know it's a liitle kid movie and my kid loves it. But yeah, a deeper and more honest underlining story would be better, like in Inside Out for example.

It's like this movie was devoid of creativity and ideas. Just slap some cliched stuffs on top of other cliched stuffs. The jokes were funny tho' so that's that.
