Spoilers ahead:

How long was Frenchie possessed? I'm thinking it probably had been some time before the Warrens were involved, dude probably was possessed for several years I'm guessing.

They made it clear through flashback after the reveal that he was possessed the moment the demon Valak picked him up at the end and the snake came out of its mouth and into his. It was like 30 some years later that the Warrens got involved, so it was quite some time.

I thought sister Irene & frenchie was gonna hit it off in the end with babies, etc.. but then he became a demon..

The movie said 20 years to the lecture by the Warrens, where they presented his case. So less than that.
