It's somewhat based on the movie
If u ever watched the movie Ransom then you'll get the understanding of the TV show; no its not like the movie but it's good I think in its on right

That would be like claiming every show that involves cops are all based on Dragnet just because they have cops in them.
Ransom (2017) uses characters inspired by the real-life professional experiences of the world-renowned crisis negotiator Laurent Combalbert and his partner Marwan Mery. Though it does not follow any of their real world events or crisis, simply their professional styling and approach to negotiations.
The actual events in the show are fictional.
Aside from the name and that there happens to occasionally be ransoms involved, Ransom the movie and Ransom the TV show have no relation at all.
You might as well be claiming Star Wars and Star Trek are both the same simply because they have Star in the title and happen to be science fiction based. You couldn't be more wrong.
