Enjoyed! But didn’t care for
What was the point of the female in the movie? I didn’t understand the point of her interaction with the boys and I felt like this movie had no room for their romance. Seemed a bit contrived for me.

shareYes. Contrived, and probably unrealistic 1984-era geeks ever had a shot, but some were less geeky than the others. Hollywood requires some kind of romance, not matter how far-fetched.
shareIt seems every single movie ever made has to have a love storyline shoved somewhere in it, necessary or not. It's beyond tired and makes me roll my eyes at this point.
shareAgreed... Even though I also think her character was there to create some confusion about who the killer were... could it be her? I know that it didn't work... but I think that was the writers intension...
shareIt didn't take up much screen time. Besides, most guys watching this probably end up living vicariously through this group of teens for the runtime of the movie. Idyllic, nostalgic 80s Summer. Tight knit group of friends. Why not throw in the pretty neighbour girl who wants the protagonist for no particular reason? It's pretty common in teen movies. Why would the smoking hot eastern European girl in American Pie want dorky Jim? No real reason, but it's a fun fantasy. Wouldn't really sweat it.
shareWell I didn’t once think she could be the killer! She was a total babe though lol.
shareIt's a coming of age movie, the fact that she had to move to another town, adds to the
dramatic tone of the movie.
