What happened to this movie?
As the title says. It's been years since this was shot, I think. When's it coming out? There's nothing recent about it.

I want to see this too.
I wonder what will come first; this movie or GTA 5?
I bet it has something to do with the fact that they shot the most of the thing on a greenscreen, which takes either a lot of of people or a lot of time to get everything keyed out, tracked, and comped properly. The guy did a lot of the VFX on his own for the first movie, which was a short, but if he's anything like me would have burnt out after several thousand hours of comping and had to get help. That help isn't entirely cheap (if you want it of decent quality... and he's a bit of a perfectionist), so I bet it comes down to fundraising. I bet he budgeted way too optimistically for a feature film vs. his quality expectations vs how much he was willing to VFX on his own considering how much time it takes.
The one set photo I saw (the group photo) has black tracking markers on the greenscreen. While it's great that they used tracking markers, it's horrible that they are black, which means every greenscreen shot will require rotoscoping if any character passes over the markers and if it's blurry edges over the markers then the edges will have to be painted in. Tracking markers should always be the same color as the greenscreen, only a different brightness (so if it's a dark greenscreen then have light green markers). I don't get why nobody understands this. They even have black/white tracking markers in tutorials supposedly designed by "professionals" who have no idea what it's like to have to composite VFX on a greenscreen for shot after shot.
I heard about this film when reading a news article about Arnie filming Man with a Bag;
"It will be his first film role of any kind since Terminator: Dark Fate in 2019.
He did shoot the flick Kung Fury 2 that year but it has not been released due to legal issues."
"Lawsuits over promised funding have shut down post-production, leaving the ambitious Kung Fury 2 in limbo for the past four years."
