Commercial success and quality are not the same thing. I saw Skyscraper on opening night, and it was awesome.
True, not every great film was a success at the box office. But films like Citizen Kane and Blade Runner flopped because they were way ahead of their time, whereas Skyscraper flopped because of how blatantly derivative and unoriginal it was.
