Wait a sec-didn't we make it clear that we do not want Armie in movies? Lone Ranger and Man from UNCLE were two of the biggest bombs in modern BO history! No more Armie!! We dont want to see rich men buying their way into Hollywood (allegedly)..
Well I'm not fat nor a chick so yeah. Also because if you actually go and watch these movies he's actually in, he's drastically improving with each film he's in. I loved him in Nocturnal Animals even for just those scenes he did well. Also Free Fire he's really great. Anyways opinions will be opinions I guess.
They didn't bomb because of him. They just weren't projects most people cared about. Man From UNCLE was tons of fun though and deserved to do much better. I wish there would be a sequel. Also, two of the biggest bombs in modern BO history is a bit of an exaggeration. Especially regarding UNCLE. Budget was 75 Million and it grossed $109,845,109 worldwide which doesn't add in home video revenue and streaming. Lone Ranger took in $260,502,115 on a budget of 215 Million. Yes I know this doesn't figure in prints and advertising but again this also doesn't figure in home video and streaming, not to mention television rights. There have been MUCH bigger bombs. And Hammer likely just hasn't found the right projects yet (until now with Call Me By Your Name, which he's supposed to be excellent in, as well as the upcoming Free Fire). It was the same for Ryan Reynolds. People considered him Box Office poison and then boom - Deadpool. Now he's on the A-list. It's all about the right project. A lot of actors can't make people watch a movie on their name alone anymore. It used to be that they could but star power is getting less and less important.
He was actually a big part of the reason they bombed. UNCLE was mostly ruined by his bad acting and awful accent-did you see it? It was utter sheit. And Caville was also terrible-not sure why he gets roles-he looks good, but cannot act. Uncle lost about 50 million and Ranger lost almost 150 million-that's considered a huge loss especially since they were so high profile Ryan Reynolds can act, though...
No that would be the marketing teams fault for not selling the movie well enough. Yes Man from UNCLE wasn't amazing but it was good and people liked it. It's like he's personally did something to you that you can't forget. Like some jealous friend who's friends all got hotter and richer than them then they start bashing them and or attack them for where they are in life. Oh well good day sir and hopefully this moving will change your mind but probably not since your so adamant on hating him.
Armie is a fantastic actor who i certianly want to see more, and more. And based on reviews, he did his career best performance in the movie, so yeah, GET OVER IT, he ain't going anyhwere!!!
ohmygod, shut up Hes been reduced to doing small movies because he will not be cast in any big budget movie again-deal with it Just like That Taylor guy from Battleship and John Carter WE demand good actors, not average ones with lots of money. YOU are responsible for *beep* movies because you see them just because you list after actors who would never give you the time of day in real life! Pscho
