Very fun show! Will continue watching!

I was lucky enough to attend the premiere of the first two episodes at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. It was a blast, and the show was a great deal of fun. All those people saying it's a "rip off" of Ash Vs. the Evil Dead, I have news for you. It's very much it's own show. Yes, both shows are campy with comedically over-the-top demon-killing gore, but who doesn't want more of that?

I do love the entire Evil Dead series, but based on the first couple episodes of Stan Against Evil, it wouldn't be a stretch to admit that Stan is a deeper character than Ash, and almost equally as cool (props to McGinley on that). Again, people don't watch the Evil Dead series for character arcs and deep storytelling, but without giving too much away, McGinley's portrayal of Stanley Miller is heartbreaking, hilarious, and badass. Obviously, equal if not greater credit has to go to Dana Gould for creating such an awesome character, as well as a unique world for that character to live in. The rest of the cast is wonderful. Janet Varney is killing it as Evie, and I can't wait to see more Nate Mooney. That guy has some serious comedic chops.

I can't wait to see more. Now... if only I can find out who does the music....

Thank you for the early inside scoop. I'm looking forward to watching.

Deep character? It's Dr. Cox with muttonchops. It is literally Dr. Cox transplanted in a show with witches and demons. It's like the writer went "what if Dr. Cox was an unwilling witchhunter ex-cop in a small town! He could be all grumpy and make edgy comments about feminists and be his usual obnoxious self that makes it a point to make a point about being right in contrived and amusing ways instead of getting on with it". I agree that this is fun, but this is all the show has going for it. It's been done before, just not with witches and demons. This would have faired better as a one-shot skit.

OP clearly works for the studio. There is a posting like this for almost every new show. No analysis, just thinly veiled praise praise praise.

Nope. I don't work for the studio. Would if I could though.
