Alicia Silverstone
Wow she's cast in a film by Yorgos Lanthimos?
Quite interesting choice and certainly unexpected one.
Might be her career's best film.

at first i was shocked to see her attached to this film, (pleased, but yes SHOCKED) considering she hasn't worked on anything impactful, note-worthy or even big-budget in over 15 years.
Let's be honest, aside from Batman & Robin, which was career suicide, she has only appeared in a few good movies ever (Clueless is a CLASSIC and she commands the screen effortlessly, Excess Baggage is cute and she shines in her role as producer on the film & an improvisational co-writer, and obviously she is cute as a button in Blast From The Past). Even her promising roles in The Crush, Loves Labors Lost & Butter never really mattered considering those movies weren't well-received and haven't really aged well, as far as creativity or relevancy.
BUT, after seeing her in King Cobra, and now that her film Catfight is about to be released, it has become clear to me that she and her agents/managers must be planning a comeback by finally appearing in edgy films with the help of her friends James Franco, Anne Heche, and now Colin Farrell. She will finally HOPEFULLY be given a chance to shine in real movies with artistic merit instead of direct-to-DVD or direct-to-cable B.S.
In the interviews she's given over the past year while promoting King Cobra (and even interviews about social issues), it's clear that her passion for acting and art has been reignited and she is going to really give this whole entertainment career another try. I'm proud of her and very excited for what she will create in the future :)
She doesn't have a big rôle in this. It's one scene but it's impactful. I like her very much too and I'd love to see her in more movies.
