Is it Oscar?????
At the beginning of eps 11 & 12 you see the guys driving cars up to the tent. One of the cars is light blue and looks exactly like "Oscar" the car Richard fell in love with when they were searching for the source of the Nile on the old show.
Yes, I know Oscar was yellow but in a much later episode the guys had to bet something they valued highly and James bet his grand piano (which had a large lorry roll back down a hill and crash into it, I don't remember if Jeremy was driving or not) while Richard put Oscar at risk. I believe it suffered some damage but also think it was salvageable. So the question is: can anyone tell if the little blue car driving up to the tent in the beginning of eps 11 & 12 is actually Oscar repainted blue.
Yeah, I know... it's probably waaaaaay toooooo trivial for anyone to care about but what can I say? I loved that African Ep., loved how much Richard loved Oscar (watching it float it's way across a river was priceless) and in the end I loved Oscar too. So I was REALLY happy that he ended up keeping and restoring it. Yes it was yellow but he could have easily repainted it. Does anybody know?
It seems almost insane to use our few remaining weeks on a question this crazy but THIS is exactly why I love this site and it's also probably the last chance I'll ever have to get an answer so what can I say?.... Here I am.
