Was really good except for one character

By that one annoying man who only cared about himself.
They let him live for so long and had him kill so many characters that had lived through it all.

It got really repetitive and annoying and characters like that are just boring to watch, it ruined the film.

Also the father getting bitten defending his daughter was so predictable

Also also if you put your hand in front of a zombie mouth youre gonna get bit *sigh* everything before the train stopping was great

reply

I didn't like how "simple" the villain's death was... He was a total selfish *beep* and his death was simply thrown off the train by the lead...? At least show us him getting ran over by the train or something...

I agree with the zombie biting his hand part too...it was predictable. But it didn't bother me as much.

reply

It wasn't predictable since you don't even realise the father sacrificed himself. He put his hand over the zombie's mouth on purpose. Douchebag.

reply

You didn't expect that the father will die in some way in the end? That's usually happen in these movies. Someone will sacrifice themselves (usually one of the main characters), mostly because they were bitten.

reply

Sacrifice does not mean give up their life after they were bitten. That is very common and it happened time and again in this movie.

The thing that makes me laugh is that when it was obvious that the father had trouble dealing with that zombie at then then people think to themselves he is going to die its so predictable. Try to predict it at the beginning of the movie! Not two seconds before it happens. If the dad dies, it is predictable, if he lives and changes his ways it is predictable, if he dies in the tunnel shot by a soldier it is predictable.

reply

Actually, he didn't give up, he jumped off the train so he doesn't kill his daughter and that woman when he turns. That's more similar to a concept of a sacrifice, than giving up.

And I'm sorry, the movie was very cliched. That doesn't make it a bad movie though, it's good (but overrated). What makes it good how it uses certain cliches, but it also used other cliches very badly.

reply

Either way. That character was just awful writing and very cliched. It ruined the movie (for me at least). Im not a writer myself but i wish they would just come up original writing rather than resorting to the overused cliched 'man that doesnt care about anyone and gets others killed' only this time they used it too much

reply

In life, when you are able to observe a character with negative traits that are similar to yours and you observe it with a deep understanding, it means that you have changed and moving on. The awfully selfish man represented the father's past.

True Self is righteous. It's a conspiracy to portray Man as a savage that needs taming and policing.

reply

buchowski, couldn't of have said it better myself.

I don't understand why people come on the boards to claim how smart they were in predicting the ending to a "movie".

I mean, assuming you did figure out the outcome right at the beginning of the movie with just blindly guessing the few possible outcomes in a typical script. What do we win? If you can predict your own real life outcomes to your advantage, that'll be more awesome to praise.

reply

Once he called his employee and the guy told the main character that it was their company's fault that the outbreak happened I knew the father was going to die. That's like the default answer to killing off a character. That or send them to prison for punishment.

reply

yeah, it's his redemption after all.

BTW, i don't think there would be any prison left functioning when they hit Busan.

reply

father sacrificed himself

Very true. One can actually see the exact moment when he is forced to decide to make that sacrifice.

reply

Its because of the payoff that character was annoying I expected his head to be crushed under the train.

" Look, there's two women fuc*ing a polar bear "

reply

The last third of this film was one big gigantic frustrating mess. Otherwise it was really good.

reply

There's almost always a character like that in movies like these.

"Time is the fire in which we burn."
