One of the best ZA films

Not "the" best definitely puts to shame some recent ZA films (cough*wwz*cough). Acting was top notch, effects were great, and I liked the emotion in it not just brainless action.

Some things I thought could've been better:

Every death was too emotional. Sad music slow motion like we only care about the dad and daughter so having a sad moment for every death is silly.

I wish the cause for the outbreak was explained better. A "plant"... what plant? Maybe I just missed something.

I hope they make a sequel with the daughter a little older and how she's dealing with the ZA.

Definitely one of my favourites in this genre. Left me feeling similar to after seeing 28 Weeks Later for the first time.

Some fantastic set pieces, the tension throughout, and engaging emotional scenes considering how little character development (some overly sentimental but I can forgive that more readily).

Totally agree, took me quite by surprise. My first Korean movie and what a masterclass it turned out to be. I never cry after zombie movies but this one pulled at my heart strings. Real emotional zombie film. I can only applaud the makers of this film.

Check out "The Host" another very good Korean movie in the monster genre with humor.

Great movie, first good entry in ZA genre since Dead Set. I wish the ending was bleak and hopeless (as it should be in ZA genre), but the movie was still very good.
