Will there be sequel ?

Badly need to know if the girl actually found her mother in Busan .

reply

Yes, there will be. I think they'll focus on different characters though. Getting to the mom wasn't the point, Su-an wants her father to notice her that's why she insisted.

There's "Seoul Station," which technically came out first in a festival before "Train to Busan" premiered at Cannes. Came out in Korea after the theatrical release of "Train." Was advertised as a prequel to "Train," but you can just look it as an animated spiritual prologue movie.

This is a sequel to Seoul Station, and I am sure that this did very very well and someone will want to make a sequel. It all depends on who owns the rights and how much money is thrown at them to convince them to make one.

I would've loved to see the girl unite with her mother, but I think that's a forgone conclusion (since Busan is safe) and pregnant woman would probably live with them, at least for the time being.

I suspect if the filmmakers do make a sequel, it would be a combination of Aliens and Outbreak, a search for patient zero.

I wonder how widespread the zombies outbreak is. Did they manage to contain it to South Korea only or did the entire world get contaminated?

reply

A sequel, we don't know.

But there will be a remake.
