how bad will it bomb?
I'm going with 25m opening weekend
shareWhether it cost a hundred million or near three hundred million, badly.
shareactually I think i'll revise my original estimate to 15m
this is going to bomb. hard
I unapologetically still love this musical, and I think you are absolutely correct. I think the only people going will be going to see how bad it is.
shareWell, I'm tempted to see how bad it is and bring a dotty old relative who likes anything with a lot of music and dancing... but I dont think she's dotty enough to sit through that mess.
shareI am sure I will see it at one point, but I am not going to waste money to see it in the theatre. I'll wait until it's on a streaming service I'm already paying for.
shareLikewise, I really am curious about how bad it is.
But seeing it at home with the remote in my hand is one thing, seeing it in an empty movie theater with that mess on the big screen is another.
Come this wkend theres going to be lots of blame, stern faces, and tears from all concerned .. I guess mainly levelled towed the director Tom Hooper. With the actors no one really headlining so can't really be singled out too much .. well theres the embarrassment factor.. thats if actors are even capable of being embarrassed.
shareOMG!! its now tracking WAY BELOW even the most pessimistic estimates!!
7-8m weekend!!!!!!
That means it will be lucky to pull in 30m domestic total!
OMG!
6.5m opening!!
