Fight Between Danny and Bobby.

I missed some parts of the latest episode (5/31). I came into the one scene where Danny and Bobby where on the dingy and Danny tells Bobby to take his tampon out. What was this fight over? Was it just over Danny telling him that? Bobby seemed to overreact to the tampon comment. Guys say stuff like that to each other all the time and it isn't grounds to fight. Tell me I missed something more. Because I like how Danny was instantly blamed for this incident and even that he "pushed" Bobby. Are you fvcking kidding me? Bobby has like two feet and 200 pounds on Danny. And their douchebag boss tries to spin it that Danny got all physical with Bobby. No Bobby came after Danny looking like he was going to knock his block off and Danny simply held his ground. Good for Danny. In a Danny vs. Bobby fight, Danny will be the victim everytime and I don't care how much they try to spin that.

Tell me I missed something because from what I saw Bobby and Bryan where in the wrong and trying to spin it and blame Danny.

Plain and simple, I'd say it was a build up of all the frustration Bobby has had with Danny from previous incidents. The beginning of this specific fight was when they were walking down the stairs and Danny was carrying two plates of food and he asked Bobby to carry one and he said no. Danny jumped on him about 'teamwork' and that (rightfully so) ticked Bobby off.

Danny just doesn't get it. EVERYONE tells him that he is being unprofessional but he thinks they are all wrong and he is right. Is he blind??

reply

Agreed. I kind of thought Bryan should have done a better job defusing the situation, but ultimately I think everyone (except Ben) is tired of Danny doing whatever he likes and not getting it. He seemed cool the first couple of charters, but ever since the Tilted Kilt he feels like it's his responsibility to bring joy to every passenger rather than, you know, doing his actual job as a deck hand. He's acting like a little kid and people are tired of it. Maybe it's just for the show, but he's starting to act "special". Like he's not all there.

MyMotleyCrew,

Thanks for the reply. Ya, I definitely missed some parts then. I still don't get it though. So Danny was carrying plates of food and asked for help and Bobby said no? Why would he say no? That does sound like Bobby was not being helpful or a team player. Or has the crew and the fans watching all agreed to just straight up hate Danny and fvck him from now on and not help him period? If that is the case Danny should just leave.

Don't get me wrong, Danny is a stupid idiot. Everyone thinks I am defending him here. But I'm not. My point here is that what I see out of the first line supervisors (Hannah and Bryan) and Bobby SHOULD BE far more of a concern and is really insidious, untrustworthiness, and unprofessional. Danny is just low hanging fruit that everyone is focused on. They then miss the really bad *beep* the others are saying and doing.

MGuriea, Danny was carrying plates because Ben asked him to take them downstairs for him - I think Bobby said no because he was already annoyed with Danny and felt like he wasn't doing his job, yet once again, doing a task that was not in his job description. Yes, he could have easily taken one of the plates, but I feel like Bobby has a really short fuse with Danny these days because of all of his antics.

Interesting that the captain thought everything was perfectly fine on this trip! I guess they kept it all to themselves. If the captain gets wind of any of this, Danny's remaining time on the boat is limited!

MyMotleyCrew,

Ya, Bobby does have a short fuse with Danny at this point. He lost it on the dingy. That is one of the things that should be more of a concern than Danny. Bobby losing it and instantly turning violent. That's what you want in a workplace. Especially, on a 5 star yacht with guests who paid a ton.

I'm surprised that the captain felt that way too. Another Bobby issue that should be more of a concern than Danny, is that I get a serious impression that Bobby runs to the bosses at the drop of a hat. He will dime out his coworkers and stab them in the back in a heartbeat.

I could deal with a guy like Danny at work. He is easy to figure out and know how to handle. The others though are insidious and way harder to deal with. Before you know it you'll be on the verge of getting fired for something you didn't do and weren't even there for but guys like Bobby are throwing you under the bus to make themselves look better or get a promotion.

I hate Danny SO much!! He is so immature. I was stunned when Bryan said Danny is only one year younger. He seems like an 18-yr old kid who has never had a real job before.

Him standing around trying to chat during the threesome though...priceless! He's completely clueless.

reply

Also, b/c of the note-passing-to-the-cute-classmate-incident, Danny barely kept his job, just by the skin of his teeth.

reply

And what seemed like 24 hours later, he was already instigating with his coworker, saying he is not a good teammate...And then calling the fireman a girl, yet he was the one passing love letters around about the death of a fish. So anyway, to barely be not fired one day b/c of a guest and a fish, then the next insulting your coworkers' masculinity while insulting woman, he has a lot to learn.

Whether or not Fire Marshal Bill was in the wrong on the dingy, creating more problems b/n yourself and the crew is so narcissistic, immature, and asenine!

Whether or not Fire Marshal Bill

This absolutely made my day. There is NO better description of the Captain, and from here on...I shall refer to him as FMB!!!!!!!!!!

My feet have wings, barf bag.

reply

Yes, glad you like it! It just came out of my mouth, don't know why, but it was to make you laugh, haha! FM Bobby, er, Bill!

reply

Whoa. No, that was not overreacting! It’s just super gross to me that would would even attempt to downplay that disgusting, insulting, demeaning comment! And I don’t even like Bobby. Not one but.

What Danny said was rude, crude, immature, way out of line, unprofessional, demeaning to women (yes, I realize it was said to a man), sexist, harassment, etc etc etc. He should have been fired for that comment alone. Period.
