Wasted oportunity.

I am watching it right now. It is a rip off of any and all adventure movies that were ever made.

The script is WTF. Leads have no chemistry and they had no technical advisors what so ever when it comes to treking the jungle.

I am going to pass this show. Trailer was great, but if you saw that. You have seen the whole show.

You could tear this show to peices endlessly. Such lazy writing and production is just ridiculous.

I loved how it took her an afternoon to find the lost explorer everyone's been searching for for a hundred years. Then, instead of leaving the site and returning with a team of archaeologists in their helicopter, she proceeds to rifle through the ancient belongings and defiling the poor guy's corpse.
Not only would she be fired by her museum, she'd probably end up in jail for such blundering vandalism.

All the people involved with this pathetic excuse for a TV show should be ashamed of themselves.
Utter tripe.

Wow people take TV shows too seriously

TV shows are not meant to be realistic, that's why we have shows like Walking Dead cause an apocalypse would never happen and Game of Thrones cause Dragons ain't real

Just enjoy the show for what it is, or go watch Time Team or some archeology documentary

Nobody expects realism, but is it really too much to expect just a teeny weeny bit of effort?
This would be fine as a show for 7 to 11 year olds, but grown ups do expect SOME common sense and logic in their entertainment.
If it was an original idea they might get some brownie points, but to produce something so obviously ripped off from various sources, and do that ripping off really really badly just smacks of complete and utter contempt for the viewers.
The producers are basically saying to the viewing public "you're all ignorant neanderthals, here watch this crap..."
As a viewer do you like being called stupid?

I agree its just dumb fun to enjoy.

but you picked 2 bad examples, Walking Dead has hyper real personalities, as does Game of Thrones. Real characters in fantasy settings. This show, we have the reluctant hero and tomb raider type impossible girl that he just keeps on helping. Impossible characters in whats supposed to be real settings. They are inverted truths of this show,

However, just to highlight, I totally agree with your view. People take stuff too seriously.
That said, a higher standard wouldn't do this show harm, it would save it from the inevitable cancellation next year.

Did you watch the trailer and think Oh that looks like my backpacking holiday...

No! If you wanted realism Alex would never have been sent by the Museum in the first place, it's not how it works.

There is enough hard hitting drama on TV nowadays. Just enjoy it for what it is.

And how, exactly, does one enjoy excrement?

The guys who made this are trying to tap into the Indiana Jones/Croft/Uncharted market which is just sat out there desperately needing something to fill the wait for the next film or game.
