Almost like a documentary...

The movie felt like a documentary or at least a reality show more than a scripted drama. I really felt I was in their world and the lead actress mother Halley was amazingly authentic as the white trash deadbeat skank mother. Dafoe was excellent and the kids were real (unlikeable, but real).

Yes, a documentary about how to be a vulgar, disgusting, disrespectful, ungrateful, lowlife, thief, skank and prostitute.

How was this in any way a "how-to" movie? It was a mirror on a real part of society, just like a documentary is. Did you take this as instructional in some way?

reply

You're the one who called it a documentary, dude.

Perhaps you need to re-read my statement.

You said "it felt like a documentary..."

Oh okay, so which was it then? What you said before that I "called it" a documentary or the latter, where I said the acting and realism was so good that it "felt like a documentary"?

The former I never said and the latter I stand by 100%.

reply

Okay. You said it felt like a documentary. Happy now, Mr. Arrogance?

reply

I don't know about "happy", but it is definitely the right thing to do if you're going to quote someone to prove a point not to misquote or misinterpret them to make a point which their original statement doesn't even support. So yes, good job.

You're very proud of your arrogant little self right now, aren't you?
