It appears that this show is strictly about mythological mermaid sirens rather than the cryptozoological premise that was presented in "Mermaids The Body Found".

Not in this diversity drive mermaid show.

Surprised they classified that show as 'documentary' when Mermaids Animal planet had been criticized for giving the impression of being an actual documentary, when in fact much of the material was made up, and the scientists shown were actors. Publicity for the program included a website falsely claiming government seizure of the site's domain, and the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration put up a rebuttal to the program.

There are several mermen and even a 'merbaby'. 🧜 🧜🏾 🧜🏽‍♀️
Yah, I like these kind of sea fairy tales and will start today evening with Tidelands (2018).
Tidelands only got one season though. *snivel*

Please don't confuse these series with the sugar-sweet Little Mermaid Ariel.
That could wash little children away. ☺
