The acting was pretty good as was the story line. The middle of the movie kind of slows down a little bit, but then it speeds back up again. The main character's boyfriend seemed to have some sort of control over her that she couldn't not listen to him when he told her what to do.
Was nice to see Callum Keith-Rennie, it seems like forever since I saw him in a movie.
Yeah, I really enjoyed this one too. My only (minor) complaint was that I wish the movie makers had had the courage to go through with the 'original' bleaker ending, if you know what I mean.
Although I haven't seen him in movies recently Callum Keith Rennie has been popping up in a lot of TV work lately. In Netflix' Jessica Jones S2, he's the likable but misguided scientist who created the main character.
What was the bleaker ending?
shareI don't mean in the sense that they filmed two endings sort of alternate ending. I mean in the sense that they were going one way with the end, then switched it up.
She was going to abandon her son, hoping that he would have a better life without her in it. It was the reason she told him the story of Solomon in the diner.
At the end though, he guessed what she was up to, left the bus and caught up with her.
