For being marketed as a sequel to the fricking Shining, im just baffled by this movie. Its like watching a comic book film mixed with 80’s teen vampire aesthetics. My god, those hat people were so stupid and dialog so cringeworthy. ”Oh hi there” Rose The Hat must be the cheesiest horror villain ever. The film also has no subtlety at all, just cheesy dialog and uninspiring visuals. And its way too long! Why couldnt it be just about Danny revisiting his horror past, instead of this drivel.

It was sorta alright for 1.5 hours. Then it got overly long. Then came the terrible ending.
Rose the Hat was hot and cool but she's not enough. The shoehorned connection to the Overlook Hotel was irritating.

Rose just felt like a character you see on The Walking Dead. When Danny finally gets to the hotel it starts to feel like The Shining again althou Rose ruins it for me there too.. I dont know, i havent read the book but it all felt so out of context for me personally.

You Know, I was thinking the same thing Rose and her crew are like Walking Dead Caricature just Ridiculous Villains.

Please define "cheesy" and how it pertains to this film. Your original post did not cut it.
