SJW remake

The central theme of the original was the question of female desire for the male character, and female manipulation and vengefulness when they don't get what they want from a desirable man.

From the little girl who finds him and kisses him, to the woman who denies him sex once she has teased him into promising to marry her after the war (and therefore got what she wanted), to the seductive 17 year old temptress hottie he can't resist, followed by the enraged reaction of the earlier woman (who denied him sex but got pissy when he found it elsewhere: classic female controlfreakery), and of course the ageing headmistress who wants him for herself and can't handle the fact that he doesn't get turned on by her wrinkled flesh; this film is all about female desire, jealousy, and most of all the fury of the infamous woman scorned.

Yet I can see from the tagline here on IMDB "a Union soldier is held captive in a girls boarding school, **and begins to con himself to each of their hearts** " not to mention the feminist/SJW direction of Hollywood today, that the whole point of the original is likely to be missed. It will probably just become another boring vehicle to bash white men, like everything else they make. Yawn.

So is Putin after Hillary gets elected. ??

The point of the book was to emasculate the chauvinistic main character. He manipulates the women, but messes with a dangerous one in the headmistress and it comes back to haunt him. Try critical thinking for once.

Sounds good to me.

Lets see what Sofia comes up with. She is one of the most interesting directors presently with an impressionistic and understated style far from Siegel.

You realize that the tagline is verbatim, word for word, the same as the original.

You may think your time has come, but this is only the death rattle of a dying breed.
