Does the show ever explain why she throws up?

I've only seen ep 1, didn't really enjoy it, but I think I might try ep 2 before writing it off. Do we eventually find out what happened to Drew's character, why she becomes a zombie?

Also, I had to laugh to myself at how sharp her teeth suddenly became. She tore through Nathan Fillion's fingers like they were birthday cake.

How many zombie stories ever explain what causes the outbreak?

reply

Hmmm.... Most of them? Even if they don't always "explain" it, most zombies movies I've seen at least mentionned what started it.

reply

It's an ancient disease, but they don't explain how she got it. Maybe in season 2.

I once told a man to go screw himself! Can you even imagine?! - Kilgrave

reply

That's part of the story. During the season we learn clues and try to develop the reason she eats people

reply

Does she throw up in the other episodes, too? That's actually the part I couldn't take. No matter how fake it is, I don't do well with vomit.

Go with your heart, buddy. Our brains only screw things up.

reply

No after that she just rips faces off and eats them. The vomit just was the sign she died and transitioned into the undead.

reply

That reagan vomit was excellent!

"What would you like to see on your honeymoon, Mrs. Cord?"
"Lots of lovely ceilings."

reply

Give the second episode a try. It's significantly better than the first - and it just gets better from there.

reply

I agree. Even though I myself enjoyed the first episode and this is why I watched further.

reply

I DO wonder how she contracted "it" without even being bitten herself; like another poster said, even in nonsensical zombie flicks they usually have an explanation; Return of the Living Dead (1985) being one of my favorites, and most logical of them.
