izombie ripoff?
Isnt this the same premise as izombie? Girl comes back as a zombie and eats people in secret. Im assuming the only difference is Drew wont absorb the victims habits

Zombie humor sure but other than that not really. Also doesn't look near as good as izombie. The first trailer for izombie had me super pumped. This just has me nervous. Ill watch for tim but drew looks horrible

shareI think all the shows from a specific genre rip each other off a bit.
While I love iZombie, I don't feel this is TOO similar....yet. Will have to see it to make more of an assessment.
It sort of sounds like iZombie and Dexter, put in a blender and served.
I think the iZombie comparison comes from the perceived tone rather than the exact situation and set-up of the stories. I'm on episode two and it did remind me quite a lot of iZombie. There's no crime solving but it the writing and slightly whimsical tone *are* similar IMO.

iZombie is a crime drivin show where she eats brains to solve crimes... Santa Clarita Diet looks like its a comedy about a woman who needs to eat flesh to live and her family helps her so the only thing they have in common is the Zombie thing

Yeah, the first time I read the description I automatically thought of iZombie. I hope it will be significantly different or else it will just go out of style or a competition as to who's better at acting.
shareDoesn't look all that similar except for the zombie angle. But hopefully this is better since I think izombie is trash.
shareSo far other than there's a zombie involved, I really don't see a connection between this and iZombie. I mean even how the lead female becomes one is different. Just my opinion though.
