People saying the acting is off...

Duhhh its suppose to be awarkard and off. Thats the kind of show it is. Its not an oscar worthy film. And to be honest its better that the acting is off it makes it more funny. Great show, hope it gets more ep's.

Another day another dream

This!!I can almost hear the whooooosh as it goes over people's heads

Yeah, not everyone gets black comedies. Not every comedic actor can pull it off either. It takes a certain balance of earnestness and sunny positivity in delivery without appearing too stilted. I will say, I didn't think Drew Barrymore was that great at it in the first few episodes, but all the actors had definitely seemed to find their groove by the 3rd and 4th episode which the series got so much better. I do find Timothy Olyphant much funnier than Drew which is unexpectedly nice as I've always been a big fan of his. Nathan Fillian can effortlessly pull off any style of comedic acting. I'm a bit disappointed he was only in the first episode.

I think every actors in Rodriguez's black comedies (okay they are mostly horror or action flicks but still filled with black humour) always pull it off effectively. I always felt that everyone in Planet Terror just found the perfect balance between the horror/action and the comedy.

There's good campy, like Olyphant, and then there's Barrymore. *cringe*

Yeah I understood the tone after the awkwardness of the pre-zombie storyline began.

Yep, the show is wonderfully over the top!

It's a blast! Oliphant is fantastic!

One of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time

Yeah, I can't believe people aren't getting that. Timothy Olyphant's acting in particular makes me laugh at almost every line he has. His character is such a horrible actor and he even knows it but doesn't stop.
I don't know anything about acting but I think it takes talent to pretend to be a bad actor and make it look so convincing.
I like all the characters but he's definitely my favorite.

Olyphant should be nominated next year for an Emmy, he is that good. I haven't seen him in much else, but I still remember that infamous line of his in Girl Next Door..."Kids, stay in school!" which must have been well over a decade ago. This man has perfect comedic timing as well as being ridiculously handsome, have no idea why he's not more famous by now!
