So, nobody is going to talk about the coerced sex?

She basically forced her husband to go down on her - twice, in the first episode.

Why is this okay?

reply

Yes because she's a female and females can't be sexist/commit rape

reply

yeah, when a girl does it its sexy. the same goes to female teachers that "fall in love" with students. its "cute".
right?

All I could think was he was going down on undead cooch....yuck

reply

What's coerced about it? He could just as easily just stand up and say no. He's a dude. He wanted to do it.

I'm almost certain that I'm reading too much into this, but you could look at it this way: she's far more man than he is.

After becoming a zombie, she's far more assertive and take-charge than he ever was. There are a few times when she remarks things like "I like it when you take charge", indirectly noting that he rarely actually takes charge as a man. Her pushing him down to give her cunnilingus plays into the roles being somewhat reversed. Joel doesn't exactly "wear the pants".

reply

I can only ask you to think of what your reaction would be had it been him doing it to her instead.

It absolutely is coercion, taking advantage of someone falls under that category.

reply

They are married, they love each other, they are intimate...
If he didn't leave her for being undead, I don't think he cared much for being "coerced" to go down on her.
Solve your own problems, if your husband/wife coerces you to have sex, just leave him/her, you're not a happy couple.

reply

You're an idiot.

reply

No, just a troll enjoying his last days of glory.

People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs

reply

You must of missed the part where he complained that his jaw was sore. But, yeah. I'm sure he wanted to go down on her for that long.....

reply

I'm surprised at how old Drew Barrymore has gotten...even being born 1975, she looks & acts like someone much older.

reply

the years of substance abuse have not been kind to her

best so far this year:
Deadpool (2016)
Captain America: Civil War (2016)

reply

What??? For 40 or so years old she looks amazing.

reply

Really. I have loved Drew forever and she looks fabulous for her age. Old? Not at all.

reply

I agree with you. I've never found her attractive but in this show she is particularly unattractive. Couldn't help but think that every time she was on screen. And those eyebrows... ugh.

But to each his own obviously.

I think the important detail is it isn't like they just met and she's forcing him to do something he doesn't want to do. THey have been in a relationship for a long time, and have much more clearly defined roles because of it.

I mean, some couples enjoy the power dynamics of one person taking control, but they are both active participants in that setup, so I don't think it's a bad thing. I didn't see any sign from him that he didn't want to do the stuff she wanted to do. She was just being assertive about what she wanted, something most male driven scenes of tha tnature are lacking.

reply

There was no coerced sexual contact.

reply

How is it coercion? At the very beginning of the show, he expressed how he wanted to have more sex without all the lead up.

reply

Why do you care, everyone knows you don't get laid.

Also, the show specifically mentions the zombie symptoms include increased libido and poor impulse control.
