We're reel-a-ters
Am enjoying the show, but I couldn't help but cringe everytime they said reel-a-ter.
Yes I know it's a little thing, but I gotta complain about something while the boards are still here.

I saw a post on a different page about the word. How do you say it?
shareWe say reel a ter....even though we known it's wrong. Just feel weird saying Realtor...reminds me of Skeletor and it also makes me feel pretentious saying it correctly in a group that says it incorrectly...lol.
shareJust a note... Whether the pronunciation is correct per Websters or not, I actually lived in Santa Clarita or near by for most of my life. Yes - it's a real place, and it sounds perfectly ok to me.
For those of you not familiar with the area, Santa Clarita is just a quick hop over the hill from "THE Valley" - so pretty much "like, totally, it's fer sure reel-a-ter".
lol....I'll accept it as an in-joke, then.
lol I just said the exact same thing to my husband. It's like people saying "jew-lery," it's "jew-el-ry"
shareor people in Ohio that say "worshcloth" instead of washcloth, just a regional thing.
shareI don't think it's a regional thing. What region do you think it's specific to?
shareIs that all of Ohio? I'm from Cincinnati, and that is definitely a thing down here.
share"Worshcloth" is a Pittsburgh thing.
shareLOL .... lots of people from the pacific northwest for water, say wor-ter, or worsh for wash.
shareIt's like people saying "jew-lery," it's "jew-el-ry"
Still the same thing. Even with 2 l's it's stil pronounced jew-EL-ry, not jew-lery

Ok you guys have got me curious now. A close family member of mine with a pretty thick Boston accent has a realtor license and I’m going to get back to you with how she says realtor.
I don’t have a noticeable Boston accent but once I got corrected by my Texan friend for pronouncing “drawer” like “draw” which I didn’t realize I was doing.
Or alth-a-lete. "You think you're hot shit 'coz you know words!"
shareGuilty! I say reel-at-er
