Is A+E paying them?

I just started watching the show and I was just wondering if these people are being paid for doing this? I don't think I could do it at all but I definitely wouldn't leave my husband and daughter to do it for free.

I think they have to. If a production is filming you for a period of time, they have to make sure you're signed up with SAG/AFTRA and they have to pay you scale per day.

That's what someone from Survivor said a while ago.

Yeah they're getting paid. I think I read once that it was a few thousand or so but I could be wrong.
