The officials in charge

They have to be SO embarrassed watching this!! There hasn't been one episode that hasn't made me cringe. The guards are so incompetent that I've wondered if it isn't staged. I can't believe there are people that are really that clueless.

I agree. When they had their exit interviews on tonight's show, they were not as in depth as with the first round of volunteers. They had more issues the second time around, AFTER they initiated some of the changes from the first round. I understand that the water issue was the city/county not moving fast enough, but the jail could have handled the drinking water and bathroom much better. They could have bought 20-50 gallon water bottles and rented coolers - like the water coolers in most offices - and put several of these in with the inmates. They could have rented port-a-potties, so there would have been more than just ONE toilet for almost 100 men. Other parts of the jail had water, so when they acted like they didn't have ANY ACCESS to water that was all lies. They could have even filled the coolers that they already have (they they use when they bring the inmates meals) and filled them with ice water. They mentioned that they gave the women pods cans/bottles of soda and the men lemonade. That is the stupidest thing I can think of. PLAIN WATER doesn't have the sugar of both soda and lemonade, they could use it to brush teeth and spot wash themselves, and doesn't have the mild diuretic and caffeine that soda has.
