40 lashes

I have never seen anything so outrageous as when Mingus was taken into that room and given "40 lashes" by that "court" comprised of (sociopathic) inmates.

His back was badly bruised.... and where were the correction officers who are supposed to be protecting these men? Why isn't a correction officer stationed in each pod to protect the men and call for help when needed when he sees something like that beginning to take place?

A good lawyer could sue that jail for failing to stop that abuse which resulted in visible injuries. That place is so poorly run that no feedback from those in "the program" will help.

The place should be closed down.

At first I thought it was just going to be some superficial lashings but then I saw his back. Man, that was brutal.

It had to take a while, since it was 20 lashes from only two different people. It wasn't as if 5 people hit him 4 times each. 20 times of getting a damp towel twisted up and then the energy to hit the guy each time had to tire the person doing it. Then the second guy had his turn. Must have taken about 5 minutes more so. I was surprised he didn't have more bruising.

This episode was appalling.

Yeah, the CO's are just taking a paycheck when nt doing their work. They obviously don't care and aren't made to care.

Daffron's fat ass needs a heart attack.

reply

Yup, bunch of joke COs and higher ups. Check out my post from a week or so ago, I used to work in a jail.

I agree it is so different than Behind Bars Rookie Year, there they are closely supervised, locked up in actual cells instead of being allowed to socialize watch TV and roam free in the pod (with an ipad too) how is that punishment? what are the guards doing there if they aren't supervising the inmates in the pods that are allowed to roam free and more likely to get into fights and cause problems and get drugs in and the supervisors there are "shocked" that their jail is run so poorly.
The idiot officers that periodically come into the women's pods are like "I smell smoke." "It's burnt noodles." "Okay." walks out I mean really! God forbid they should actually do something about it!

reply

It's a free for all in those pods and there is no supervision or any structure at all to the days. Do they ever go outside? Do they attend any classes? Do they have any work in there? They sit around all day doing nothing.

This is the worse jail model I have ever seen.

Clarke County is under staffed. Inmates rarely get to leave the pod. In 5 weeks I was allowed rec twice. They do offer GED classes. The trustees cook the food and get more freedom. Most guys do not work. Many cleaning supplies were taken away from them or diluted. One inmate snorted AJAX before I arrived. Sadly, they use bathroom cleaners to get "high."

It is sad how the Clarke County Jail treats inmates, I am especially troubled by how little rec time they get and how they never get to go outside. What is saddest, however, is that you, Robert chose seg and fained illness over returning to gen pop. Makes you a bitch in everyone's eyes.

LMAO

You should see the damaged rectal cavity of Jared from Subway if you think his back was tore up.
