Ep.4 was HOT!

I Bet she pregnant buy the scumbag friend

reply

It was definitely hot, but I thought the episode overall was really predictable.

In fact, other than the novelty (for English-speaking American audiences) of it mostly being in Spanish, the entire scenario was not too far from something that would air on late-night Skinemax.

First of all no male friend of my wife or girl is staying with us. Second they husband was a lame. You leave your wife with her male friend who she probably had sex with before. It was just stupid. Human beings complicate things because they want to play both sides. If you choose a side things won't be that complicated they might be exciting or boring but not complicated. Your born you will get sick or hurt or in between you might catch a social disease or descover your gay. Meet some get fat trace get lost stump your toe all of that could happen in between death which is the sure thing.

My whole thing is...if they hear him come home with Molly in the first night, how does the husband not hear them come home and do it the second night? Like, it's the same house, same bedroom, same living room, same distance apart. If he woke up the first night, he should have woken up the second night as well. You can try to be as quiet as you want, but you're still going to make noise.

where can i get the subtitles for ep 4?

reply

I take it you don't live in the u.s. because I'm in Spain right now and subtitles in English are much more limited here than they are in the US.

But in regards to this episode it was kind of depressing because the guy basically gets cheated on without even knowing not that he isn't to be blamed somewhat. Basically he isn't there for her in that exciting kind of way that his "friend" is. For instance him not wanting to go out and dance the whole night. But that still doesn't excuse her behavior. A monogamous relationship should be monogamous even if human nature isn't. Words may just be words for some but for others it is bond.

i think this discussion is missing the point that this was quite obviously not a consensual situation. she was intoxicated, he forced herself on her, she tried to get rid of him several times, he just kept going, not responding at all to her body language. i don't know what you guys think a woman enthusiastically consenting to sex looks like, but this is not it.

she was raped, and if you're trying to tell me she should have screamed for her husband, let me just tell you that freezing or passively going along with the act is actually the most common female reaction to a man using sexual force. it's survival instinct kicking in. just because she "lets him" in the end does by no means mean the sex was consensual.

i found this episode very shocking, but what i find more shocking is that the basic (i assume male) audience member isn't even capable of seeing it for what it really is, blaming her for "cheating" or actually (excuse me while i go throw up) calling the scene "hot". this is rape culture alive and well, people.

reply

She was not at all raped... she was teasing the guy, bending over with just her shirt and underwear on. She wanted to be seduced by a strong man. Why do you think she wrapped her legs around his waist? Why was she nonchalant pouring him a glass of water after? She wouldn't have been all happy with her husband on the sofa the next morning otherwise

It's just so obviously not rape, you are the only one who thinks this. Go watch the film 'Unfaithful' to see similar sex scenes. Again - definitely not rape.

I feel sorry for you dude. If you think she was raped I think you do not live in the real world where people have passionate sex like this...

reply

I don't see it as rape either. He was very aggressive with his approach which for me made it hard for her to resist because she was obviously still attracted to him. That's why she was jealous at the club. I think she liked the sense of adventure and spontaneity he brought to her life but realized that she doesn't want that and is settling for the safe lifestyle that her husband provides her with. Which is why I'm guessing she choose the bedroom instead of the couch with him.

reply

Definitely NOT rape. They BOTH drank that night and the sex scene was a cat and mouse game. For the poster who said this is rape culture, there are LOTS of women who enjoy this type of interaction. Just because she physically left him doesn't mean she didn't want him to follow and pursue

reply

I agree that it was rape. What I don't understand is why she gave up fighting him off. She almost got him off of her and she could have if she just fought a little harder.. He wasn't going to kill her, he was her ex-lover. Also what happened to the girl in the club that he was with five minutes before that. He walked out without her. Missing a lot of details here that would have made the story more compelling.

reply

No it was not rape. He was her ex, and exes bring back memories of being carefree at one time.
