The final episode was pointless
That had to be one of the most pointless series finales I've ever seen. Randall found out he is going to have a grandson, otherwise literally nothing happened.

shareRebecca died. Life moved on. That happens in real life.
shareI though it was dull. The only good think was we got to see all of Randall’s daughters grown up. The casting for them was INSANELY good- especially Tess. They should have had them at the wedding.
shareIt was one of the more simpler series finale's. I would have liked to see what happens in the future.
One thing surprised me, Kevin and Kate were barley in the last two episodes. And adult Kevin had a whole a paragraph of spoken dialogue in the series finale.
I agree it was one of the most drama-free episodes of the entire series. I expected to be bawling, but nothing.
I thought the writers really copped out by not showing a single eulogy. I've never seen that done before with any TV funeral. Lazy, lazy, lazy.
They all ended up in perfect, goody-two-shoes jobs: Black Senator (maybe president), Homebuilding charity. Music school for the blind.
Not to get too political, but Randall would therefore be the first REAL black president. Bill Clinton wasn't black at all, and Obama was only half-black.
It was a coda.
