Dragging thru last season

This last season is lackluster and full of subplots of minor characters like Uncle Steve, Deja, and Jack’s mom. It’s the last season, stay focused on the big 3 and mom n dad. When is this show going to start tying up loose ends?

Tired of Kevin’s neverending love life woes which at this point is just an ongoing gag. Why bring back this army vet he hooked up with? She’s boring and just sits there mumbling.

When are we going to see the breakdown of Toby and Kate’s marriage? Not even an inkling of trouble yet. I guess we have to wait for the big episode with the smoker bbq.

Most dreary of all. Deja & Malik’s teenage long distance romance. It detracts from storylines about the other two kids who used to be interesting and now are just extras. Here’s a solution for Dej’, apply to college as a junior. She has the APs and straight A+ grades (as every student character on a tv show typically has) and should go for it. Several juniors from my kid’s school do this every year.

Ok ten episodes left and we are starting to see some developments…. Kate & Toby are bickering. Malik didn’t text Deja on Thanksgiving so maybe that romance is dying out. Uncle Steve is written off with his new girlfriend. Kevin is still the dullest character. I hope there is not going to be a whole episide devoted to Rebecca and Miguel’s love story.
