Too many new characters introduced at once? S4, Ep 1?

Wow what a mess that was. You get grown up Jack Jr although it isn't 100% clear till the end, the army woman, the teen father who looks 12.

Too many people in a show that already has far too many people and then of course all the relatives of these new characters will get flash back sequences as well.

The writers seem like they have painted themselves into a corner with the need to flash forward and back all the time.

And did we really need to see more of how Jack and Rebecca got together?

Seems like that’s the only way the show can keep going with all these flashbacks stories.

For sure. And every character however how small, must have one!

Maybe they can flash back in time to when Beth was about 20 and have someone push her off a boat in the middle of the ocean. That would also mean no Toby.
