ZZZZZzzzzzzzz

Is anyone else being affected this way by this show?

THANK YOU!! I was thinking the same while catching up last night. It's like, we made this hit show and now we don't know what to do with it....hmmmm..... let's try every tragic thing imagineable and make it all happen to this one family.

I'm about done......

reply

It's just an abysmal experience. My wife watches, and I cannot grasp why. I read a book or go play a guitar whenever TIU comes on, 100% of the time. The show sucks goat balls.

reply

I only tried the first 3 episodes of the first season due to all the hoopla..
It felt like work watching it..None of it worked for me and it bored me to tears.

When I saw how immediately popular this broadcast network show was, I KNEW it had to be mediocre sludge, the embodiment of the lowest common denominator. I’ll never watch it, but I am comforted and soothed by the comments I read here.

reply

Yeah, I should've known it being network and all...but I try to stay open minded.
You know, give things a chance I never would've before.

And sometimes I just need to know just how low the world has slipped.
It's frightening.

reply

Not for nothing, Roxie, but I like you very much. Our species has slipped a lot in my lifetime, but the world is still a wonderous place with people like you in it. Also like me. Rock on🎸!

An open mind will never age. “Fairy tales can come true. It can happen to you, if you’re young at heart.”

reply

Thank you R_Kane..I like you too. You've made my day.
Not often does one run into kindness on the internet.

Yes, the world can still be a wondrous place ✌️

reply

You are welcome! I think the internet is so cruel because there’s so much pain in the world and people try to relieve their pain by lashing out at strangers online. That only creates more anger and pain, so it’s a bad idea. Being encouraging and comforting costs NOTHING, and does so much good🤩 The world needs all the kindness and caring that it can get!

They are in love with the idea of the flashback sequences that is what is killing it. It was useful and even different at first but now they just dig up back stories for characters we don't care about and even create characters just to give them back stories.

reply

IMO if they kept the same formula, with the big three when they were young to now, it wouldn've been better. Showing too many flashbacks even further/or at the same time within other flashbacks gets things jumbled.

reply

I'm tired of the self absorbed big 3 as well. They have stretched it really thin at times like when they visited their child hood home and the Indian family let them in so they could be self absorbed some more. Or was that just to get some ethnics in there?
