Real meaning of snitch.

In the s03e06 episode when Jack told Randall that he was going to go to school about Randall being bullied Randall said if Jack did people would call him a snitch. He would not have been a snitch because a victim reporting his victimizer is not being a snitch. I was going to say Jack should have told him he would not be snitch, but I thought Jack may not know the meaning of what a snitch is as a lot of, maybe even a majority of people do not know the meaning of what a snitch is.

FYI the world is full of people who believe that reporting anything to any authority is "snitching", and deserves retaliation.

And those people are ignorant so I will explain to them who happen to read this comment on what is and what isn't a snitch.
Say two people burglarize a house and one of them gets caught. The one who was caught would be a snitch if he told on his accomplice. Now say someone sees someone burglarize a house and reports who the burglar is to the police that person is not a snitch.

Of course they're ignorant!

That doesn't mean that they'll let people with a clue ammend their beliefs.
