I watched the first two episodes of season two and I personally felt things were a bit repetitive. I do not enjoy the Flashback anymore, Characters are starting to irritate me, especially Kate. I enjoyed season 1 but I feel that if this show last a few season it will be end up looking like your typical soap opera and people will eventually get bored.

I agree also. It's getting repetitive, and somewhat sappy. And yes Kate is very irritating. And I can take or leave Toby.

Yeah, I feel like all the major issues were resolved in season 1 and now that they have a hit they are drawing out all the minor irritating ones, like Kate's selfish hangups. The somber guitar music combined with this is making it all feel shamelessly saccharine.
I think it would have been wise to make this an anthology series. Like focus on a different family with each new season.
