Doesn't matter if he's a billionaire the city would be listed in the lawsuit as well.

The police unit is completely under his control though, any costs to the city he would likely need to cover. Given Murphy was carrying a taser when he took the hostage I thought of the hypothetical from Speed.

It kind of reminded me of a scene from a action movie whose name escapes me at the moment where the bad guy was holding a gun on the hero's partner and the hero shoots his partner through the shoulder to take out the bad guy.

I can not think of the show or movie. But i had the same thought as well.

One nice thing about it, the person did not get shot with a bullet. So all in all it was a great hostage take down.
