Entertaining and violent but the combat tactics are shocking

If you've seen this and Act of Valor - can you spot the difference? These are actors dressed up as SEALs (obviously sure) but they haven't gone through even rudimentary training:

- Initial opening shootout has zero finesse, zero co-ordination, and very little evidence of training. At least they are keeping fingers off triggers and are firing blanks (although those silences eh).

- The nighttime raid is just odd, at times they are almost sauntering through what is a pretty poor set (that looks similar to Seagal's horrific Sniper film from last year) and the room clearing is poor.

- Taggart in a warzone is armed with only a single pistol and when attacked stands perfectly still, draws and starts letting off shots. No cover, no nothing. Er . . . .

The violence is also interesting for the History Channel, including a scalping and even an execution and I'm certain one f bomb was unmuted but the rest is meh.

Yup it's precision fireteam movement sniper overwatch. Tactical frogleag, exfil and communication by touch on shoulder overlap cover and fire....that's how they do it.

I'm very surprised how poorly some of the action sequences have played out, especially if they are supposed to be portraying them as ultra elite.

Killing a English speaking prisoner who could have given up the location of the the target they were there to snatch? Letting the person who he was running with go?

Not closing the doors to galley area where they grabbed the BH vip? Not gagging him so he couldn't warn the guards (?)

Not putting a back guard and allowing the door to be locked behind them.

Killing the prisoner in the first episode was showing how Rip had gone a little too far in dealing with what he's had to see over there.

They didn't let the guy go. They took him with them. In the two years since then, he's been released. That happens. It's to their error, since it appears he's moved farther up the ladder now and is a threat. But, would that have happened if Rip hadn't killed his brother? It shows that actions can have repercussions.

The second episode, I can't say about little nuances. I wouldn't know. I do know that they should have been gone before that guy got back. But that's on Bear who wanted to know where Rip was too much and started to interrogate the guy. Alex calls him on it then and later, because if they'd left when they should have, they probably wouldn't have had the firefight and I think that grenade's where Buddha got hurt.

So, I think if this had been a regular op, that things would have gone better. But some of them (Bear) are letting emotions affect their decisions. We saw his emotions about Rip when they were having breakfast.
