Virginia Beach

With the exception of the exterior shot of the Oceafront and the Bay Bridge Tunnel, it is completely obvious the show runners have never visited Virginia Beach. Every exterior shot makes VB look like a glimpse of small town life. I know it sounds nit-picky, but it takes me out of the story every time.

True. But sometimes funding determines some of these filming decisions.

It doesn't bother me. I've never been to Virginia Beach. The only people it would probably bother are people who live in or have lived in Virginia Beach.

I actually live in Wilmington, NC. It was filmed in Wrightsville Beach here, but since I rarely go to the beach, it's not something I'd have noticed if they hadn't mentioned it.

Something like that is really throwing you off from the show? They haven't really shown that many beach scenes. The biggest, I think, was with Caulder at his place.
