Location

I realize it's not possible for location authenticity especially when that location is a hellhole. But they should at least shoot the damn thing in the desert Southwest instead of some place with pine trees.

I agree. Authenticity is important but sometimes budget constraints determine the location. It didn't throw me. I wasn't looking at the trees. I was following the story.

The do a decent job of "cheating" the situation. In episode three you saw no helicopters but they put in the sound, added some wind, etc. Helicopters are expensive to rent, so they cheated it.

As for the locations other shows have this problem. I can't stand Scorpion on CBS, but my wife watches it, and honestly that show always looks like it was filmed in a local park!

E-Ring on NBC from a decade ago was like SIX. Everything was filmed in LA. They shot a scene in downtown LA and got a double decker bus to make it look like London, used the local subway to fill in for DC. That barely passed, but the hills in Hollywood didn't really give the feel of Iran.

SIX has the same problem. I have been to many places but not Nigeria, but after Strikeback and other shows have been to the region this doesn't pass at all!
